We have completed the application for our Horizon project titled "ReTwin-Mobility," prepared under the coordination of our center and in collaboration with 19 partners from Turkey, Bulgaria, Italy, Germany, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Slovakia, Estonia, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Poland, and Kosovo.

AI'4 YOUTH

The "AI'4 YOUTH" event, organized by the Artificial Intelligence Society—for which our center director, Prof. Dr. M. Ali Akcayol, serves as academic advisor—was held on October 20, 2026. The event, which featured opening remarks by the Director of the Institute of Informatics, Prof. Dr. Hacer Karacan, and our center director, Prof. Dr. M. Ali Akcayol, was attended by a large number of students and industry representatives.

Our Director, Prof. Dr. M. Ali Akcayol's article titled "The Future of Artificial Intelligence: What Awaits Us Towards 2040?" has been published in the September issue of ICT Media.

TOBB ETÜ

Our Center Director, Prof. Dr. M. Ali Akcayol, delivered a seminar at TOBB ETÜ Faculty of Medicine entitled “AI-Based Analysis and Predictive Model Development in Medicine.” The impacts of artificial intelligence across different fields, particularly healthcare, were discussed comprehensively from multiple perspectives.

Our Deputy Director, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mehmet Demirci, and Advisory Board Member Dr. Altuğ Çil appeared as guests on TRT Radio 1’s Çevrimiçi program and shared their views on “Next-Generation Digital Forensics in Smart Networks.”

GAZI ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CENTER

Artificial intelligence was evaluated not only in terms of efficiency and technological progress, but also within the framework of human rights, social trust, ethical responsibility, and human-centered values.

TÜRKİYE - UZBEKISTAN

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muhammadismoil Mahmudov, Rector of the University of Management and Future Technologies of Uzbekistan, together with Vice Rectors Prof. Dr. Asror Muhamedov, Dr. Bahadır Musametov, Dr. Bahtiyor Nosirov, and Dr. Fakhranda Afandi, visited our Center. During our meeting with the Uzbek delegation, we agreed to collaborate on joint projects and knowledge exchange.

NATIONAL DEFENCE UNIVERSITY

Our Center Director, Prof. Dr. M. Ali Akcayol, delivered a seminar entitled “Artificial Intelligence and the Defence Industry” at the National Defence University.

RESEARCH CENTERS WORKSHOP

Our Center received a certificate of appreciation for its research, project, training, seminar, and event activities.

ICITISEE 2025

Our Center Director, Prof. Dr. M. Ali Akcayol, attended the IEEE 9th International Conference on Information Technology, Information Systems and Electrical Engineering (ICITISEE) as a keynote speaker on 15 December 2025 and delivered a presentation entitled “Artificial Intelligence Technologies of the Future.” Current AI technologies, opportunities, risks, and the global AI market were discussed.

KARADENIZ TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

Our Center Director, Prof. Dr. M. Ali Akcayol, participated as an invited speaker in an event organized by Karadeniz Technical University on 26 November 2025 and delivered a seminar entitled “The Future of Artificial Intelligence Technologies: Where Intelligence Meets Imagination.” The presentation covered current AI technologies, forward-looking forecasts for the national and global AI markets, and steps needed to prepare for the AI era.

FACULTY OF NURSING

Within the scope of the project “Integration of Digital Learning and Teaching Tools into Nursing Education,” supported by TÜBİTAK 2237, our Center provided training to the academic staff of Gazi University Faculty of Nursing.

ERASMUS+

Our Deputy Director, Prof. Dr. Murat Dörterler, participated in the “Sustainability in Action: A Hands-on Bootcamp for Impactful Learning” workshop held at Thomas More University of Applied Sciences in Belgium on 12–16 May as part of the Erasmus+ TIME2ACT@SD project. Throughout the workshop, knowledge was exchanged with academics from different countries on topics including climate change, social responsibility, the circular economy, and digital gamification.

G³ BUSINESS IDEA

G³ At the (Young Gazi Entrepreneurs) Business Idea Competition organized by Gazi University, our Center provided mentoring support. Participants received guidance on developing more effective project ideas and commercialization activities.

PUBLIC HEALTH NURSING

At the 4th International Public Health Nursing Congress organized by our University’s Faculty of Nursing on 16–18 April 2025, our Center delivered a presentation entitled “Security and Ethical Issues in the Use of Digital Technologies in Healthcare.” The presentation covered current applications of AI technologies in healthcare and their potential transformative impacts in the near future.

GAZI ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE CENTER

On 25 December 2024, we held our panel entitled “Artificial Intelligence and the Future of Industries,” covering AI’s impact on jobs across sectors, software, educational sciences, defence technologies, cybersecurity, ethical issues, business transformation, and career planning in the AI era.

ASELSAN ACADEMY

At the 7th ASELSAN Academy Workshop, attended by academics from Gazi University, METU, ITU, and Gebze Technical University, we presented the activities and projects carried out at our Center.

FACULTY OF NURSING

Our Center delivered a seminar entitled “Transformation in Healthcare: The Role of Artificial Intelligence in Medicine and Future Trends” to students of our University’s Faculty of Nursing, and discussions were held with faculty members on potential joint projects.

TÜRKİYE - PAKISTAN

We met with Dr. Qaisar Ahsan, Director General of Pakistan’s AITeC–NCP Research Center, and his delegation to discuss potential areas of collaboration. We agreed to cooperate on joint projects, knowledge exchange, academic staff exchange, and education.
